At the spiritual heart of this historic city stands the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi — a beacon of engineering and technological excellence. Its legacy dates back to 1919 with the establishment of the Banaras Engineering College (BENCO) by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. Over the decades, it evolved into a premier institution and attained the prestigious IIT status in 2012.
