About Me
My academic journey has been shaped by an enduring interest in the ways narratives form our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. As an academic engaged in teaching, research, and outreach, I locate myself at the intersection of literature and health, constantly exploring how narratives inform and transform human experience.
My current research interests lie in the interdisciplinary fields of medical and health humanities, film and cultural studies, and life writing. This has led me to explore narrative practices around illness, health, and recovery, the disruptive power of contemporary Indian cinema, and the ethics of storytelling in contexts of suffering, care, and healing.
I offer a range of courses spanning communication, life skills, mental health, leadership with an aim to create an inclusive and dialogic space where learners can connect academic learning with lived experience. Beyond the classroom, I have been actively involved in outreach and curriculum development, regularly conducting short-term courses and delivering talks on leadership, life skills, research writing, and communication for diverse learner groups.
I am committed to bridging academic research and public engagement, and welcome opportunities to collaborate with individuals and institutions working in the areas of medical and health humanities. I am especially keen on mentoring prospective PhD scholars with a background in Humanities or allied disciplines, who would be interested in joining my research groups.
