Simulation and Decision Analytics Lab
The Simulation and Decision Analytics Lab is a multidisciplinary laboratory focused on the application of simulation, operations research, optimization, data analytics, and decision-support techniques to complex engineering and management systems. The laboratory provides an environment for students and researchers to model real-world systems, evaluate alternative strategies, and develop data-driven solutions for effective decision-making. The laboratory supports teaching, student projects, doctoral research, and sponsored research in areas such as discrete-event simulation, system dynamics, Monte Carlo simulation, mathematical optimization, statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and decision modelling. Applications include manufacturing and service systems, healthcare, logistics, infrastructure, public systems, and other complex socio-technical systems.

The laboratory provides facilities and methodologies for studying the interaction between people, technology, processes, and organizational systems with the objective of improving safety, productivity, reliability, quality, and human well-being. The laboratory supports undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student projects, and research in areas such as ergonomics and human factors, work-system design, occupational safety, quality management, reliability engineering, statistical quality control, process improvement, and human-system interaction.
