Prafulla Chandra Ray named after the great Indian chemist, educationist, historian, industrialist and philanthropist. He established the first modern Indian research school in chemistry (post classical age) and is regarded as the Father of Indian Chemistry. Prafulla Chandra Ray is the largest hostel in the entire IIT(BHU) in terms of student’s allocation. It has 577 rooms to accommodate boy’s students. The hostel has very peaceful atmosphere to study. There are beautiful gardens in the premises. Student can spend leisure time in common room facilitated with Television with Tata Sky Set Top Box and practice indoor games like table tennis, Chess, Carom, badminton. Hostel has high speed Wi-Fi as well as LAN internet facility for all rooms, Movements of visitors as well as students are recorded by CCTV regularly.
