Dr. Rahul Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at IIT (BHU), Varanasi. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur. He further pursued his MTech from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, where he deepened his expertise in mining engineering. Dr. Upadhyay later earned his PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT KGP), specializing in occupational health, safety, and ergonomics. His academic and research area focus on enhancing safety protocols, improving ergonomic practices, safety data analytics, application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in mining industry and mitigating occupational health risks across mining and allied industries.
