Pollution Control Technology

Pollution Control Technology is an essential discipline that focuses on mitigating and managing diverse forms of pollution to safeguard the environment and human health. It encompasses various innovative methodologies and techniques to address pollution sources and their associated complexities.

The development of different paths to treat wastewater and waste polymers to gain value-added product are one of the major thrust areas in the department. Effective methodologies are employed to eliminate contaminants and pollutants from wastewater, ensuring its safe discharge or reuse. Bioremediation harnesses the inherent capabilities of microorganisms and plants to break down or neutralize pollutants, thereby contributing to the restoration of polluted sites. Moreover, the Pyrolysis process is used to decompose organic materials such as biomass or waste, yielding valuable products like biochar, bio-oil, and syngas. Carbon capture technologies aim to capture and store carbon dioxide emissions from industrial processes, power plants, and other sources to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. Strategies for abating industrial pollution involve implementing advanced technologies and practices to minimize and control pollutants released during industrial operations. Pollution Control Technology concentrates on comprehending and mitigating the impacts of aerosols on air quality and human well-being. Effectively controlling and removing pollutants such as nitrogen (NOx) and sulfur (SOx) assumes paramount importance in industrial settings. Innovative techniques and technologies are continuously developed and implemented to reduce these emissions and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Pollution Control Technology is critical in preserving the environment and enhancing human well-being. This field contributes to developing sustainable solutions through advancements in wastewater treatment, bioremediation, pyrolysis, carbon capture, and diverse pollution control strategies. It paves the way for a cleaner and healthier future for our planet.
