RACCB-2017 is an International event being organized by the Department of Chemistry, IIT BHU, India and Department of Biomolecular Systems, Max-Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Berlin, Germany at the most beautiful and scenic campus of Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. This workshop is being organized under the auspices of Indo-Max-Planck partner group progaram estabilished beetween IIT BHU and MPIKG.

Scope and Structure

Carbohydrates are one of the most challenging classes of biomolecules in terms of synthesis, structure, and biological implications. The main goal of this workshop is to bring together a diverse group of scientists who work in the broad area of Glycoscience and provide them a multi-disciplinary forum for the presentation and deliberations of the newest ideas and emerging concepts in the entire carbohydrate sciences with the special emphasis on Recent Developments in Carbohydrate Synthesis and Biomedical Applications. Several experts who actively engaged in the carbohydrate research are being invited from India and Germany to highlight the current opportunities and challengers in the following topics,

The Focus of the Workshop.........

  •   Carbohydrate Synthesis
  •   Chemical Biology of Carbohydrates
  •   Synthesis and Applications of Glycoconjugates
  •   Development of tools for Carbohydrate analysis
  •   Carbohydrate-based drugs, vaccines, Diagnostic tools, etc
  •   Plant Oligosaccharides and structural elucidation
  •   Carbohydrate-based Polymers and Materials for Biomedical applications
  •   Carbohydrates as Starting materials, ligands and organocatalysts
  •   Any other research works related to carbohydrates

It is with pleasure that the organizing committee invites you to attend this International event at beautiful campus of Banaras Hindu University located in oldest spiritual City of the Ganges. Local organizing committee will make its best efforts to ensure your participation in the workshop a memorable stay with best local hospitality. The workshop "RACCB-2017" will provide you the ideal forum to stimulate ideas and establish collaborations as well as to initiate fruitful discussions on the most diverse topics of Carbohydrate science.

The Workshop will also hold exhibitions stalls and presentations from Analytical instruments manufacturers and dealers, describing the state of the art developments in Analytical instruments pertaining to the theme of carbohydrate Science.
