Myself, Dr. A.K. Srivastava is an Assistant Professor at Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University). Previously, I was working as a scientist at ARIES, Nainital, India during, and before this I was appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) at Armagh Observatory, United Kingdom (UK) working with Professor Gerry Doyle. My research interests are to understand the physics of transients, magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves, and eruptive phenomena in the atmosphere of our nearest star "The Sun". I did my phd in 2006 on the topic "MHD Waves in Coronal Holes and Line Diagnostics of Coronal Loops" from I.I.T. BHU, India, under the supervision of Prof. B.N. Dwivedi.
