New Entrants of Preparatory Course, who have been selected through JEE(Advanced)-2013 for admission in IIT (BHU), Varanasi during the Session 2013-14. All Preparatory Course students are advised to prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 15,150.00 in favour of "The Registrar, IIT (BHU) Varanasi" payable at State Bank of India, IT-BHU, Varanasi (Branch Code 11445) and must be submit at the time of Registration.

Preparatory Course passed students, note the following:

Dear Candidate,

You are now required to register in your allotted branch (Seats was allotted during JEE-2012) at IIT(BHU) on 26.07.2013 at 2.30 p.m. in the respective Department/Schools of the IIT(BHU) for admission to the above programmes for the Session 2013-14.

The classes will start from July 29, 2013. Please note the following:

1.     You are advised to reach Varanasi positively by July 25, 2013. You have been provisionally allotted accommodation in Vishweshvaraya Hostel (for Boys)/Gandhi Smriti Mahila Chhatravas Hostel Extension (for Girls). On arrival, you may contact the person on duty in the hostel to get your room opened. The formal allotment will be made by the Administrative Warden of the concerned hostel subject to your completing the necessary formalities.

2.     You are required to bring the following documents for your enrolment in the IIT(BHU) during Registration on Friday, July 26, 2013:

(i)       This offer letter.

(ii)     Ten copies of recent passport size photograph.

(iii)    Two attested copies of all certificates/mark-sheets including 10+2 Public/ University/School/Board examinations passed by you so far, along with their originals.

(iv)    Original Migration Certificate and School Leaving/Transfer Certificate from the College/School last attended.

3.                 FEE:           Total fee of the Institute at the time of admission category-wise as given below (Since you have already deposited Rs. 40,000.00 at the time of seat allotment during JEE-2012 and after deduction of Preparatory Course Fee [Rs. 40000 - Rs. 10182.00 (Rs. 7531+ Rs. 2651) = Rs. 29818 Balance fee) :

4.    Please submit original alongwith photocopies of the enclosed Affidavits on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10.00 each duly completed and signed by you and your parent/guardian, regarding ragging, at the time of registration. Download from www.itbhu.ac.in ‘The UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher education Institutions, 2009’ before submission of the affidavit and read carefully. The Institute on its part is also trying to curb ragging and is taking all necessary steps to stop the same.

5.     Please submit an Affidavit in original, on the enclosed proforma, on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10.00 regarding not going to bank of river/lake/waterfalls/ponds, use of alcohol etc. in the hostel, parties or elsewhere, duly completed and signed by you and your parent/guardian, at the time of registration. 6.   Classes will start from July 29, 2013. The academic programme will be quite demanding during every semester. However, you will also be having ample scope for pursuing your hobbies/interests, etc.

7.    You may further note that keeping/using of automated 2/3/4-wheelers in hostel premises is strictly prohibited, and as per rules any student found using automated vehicles of above type, and in hostel/University Campus shall be subject to appropriate disciplinary action including expulsion. Please also submit enclosed undertaking regarding not keeping vehicle at the time of registration, as we are trying to make our campus as “Green Campus”, where your full support is solicited.

8.     Though the Institute’s class rooms, laboratories etc. are within walking distance from the hostels, many of our students normally use pedaled bicycles for quick movement within and outside the campus.

9.   You are required to deposit Rs. 12,000.00 (Rupees Twelve Thousand only) towards mess advance separately at https://www.onlinesbi.com/prelogin/icollecthome.htm.

10.   If you are receiving any medical treatment/precaution, please bring relevant prescription(s) and health/test reports with you. These will help our physicians to attend to you in case of an emergency.

11.   Your admission is liable to be cancelled at any time during course of study if:

(i)      It is detected that you have submitted false certificates/information or have concealed facts during registration.

(ii)You are involved in acts of misconduct/indiscipline/ragging/breach of affidavit/undertaking submitted.
